Extra virgin coconut oil is one of those great ingredients that you can use (almost) everywhere. As it is, it can be used as a makeup remover, as a nourishing hair oil, as a body oil, etc. Like shea butter, coconut oil is HYPER versatile in addition to being nourishing and softening. We put it in deodorant, toothpaste, body butter, makeup remover, etc.
As its comedogenicity index is quite high (4), it is reserved for products for the body, hair and lips. In small quantities in a facial product, it does not normally cause any problems. Its texture is solid below 23-26°C, but it melts on contact with the skin.
