Dragon Well Green Tea - Long Jing

Dragon Well green tea is one of the most popular teas in China. This tea is found in the Province of Zhejiang, near West Lake, located in Hangzhou.

It is said according to a Chinese proverb 'Up there is heaven and down there is HANGZOU'. Also, it seems that in the 4th century, mountain people lived at the end of the mountain range of Mount Tianmu where the village of Long Jing is located. The said mountain people discovered a stone in the shape of a dragon while drilling a well: thus the 'Dragon Well' was born. We know this tea under the name Lung Jing.

This unoxidized tea is particularly rich in vitamin C, amino acids and catechins. It contains a high level of antioxidants with anticoagulant and anticancer properties. In addition, its leaves come from a fine harvest, they are light green and even yellowish in color. It has a rich vegetal scent with certain toasted aromas. This tea is harvested in the Zhejiang province of China. It is grown at an altitude varying between 1500 and 4500 ft. This is a Lung Ching #2 grade. It is non-fermented, produced in a traditional way and in small quantities.
