What is felted soap?
Felt is a textile material produced by dipping and compressing fibers. Felting on soap produces a fusion of wool and soap and results in the creation of a soapy washcloth.
Our felted body soap is simply a real soap from La Savonnerie Blanchou wrapped in sheep and alpaca wool. To achieve this, we coat the soap with wool and dip it several times in hot water until we obtain a bar of soap that becomes one with the layer of wool that surrounds it. The wool layer helps make it last longer and helps you keep it in your hands. In addition, the use of fibers of different colors on the same soap gives it an aesthetic side.
The sheep and alpaca wool we use comes from Quebec farms.
