Genmaicha green tea and toasted rice
In the past, less fortunate people drank this tea. This tea is very popular in Japan. Its aromas are easily recognizable when we enter restaurants and when we are invited by the Japanese to share tea. One day, someone told me, it’s the people’s tea!
Genmaicha green tea Japanese means 'tea with brown rice', which characterizes its delicate aromas of green tea and toasted rice. This magnificent tea comes from Kagoshima Prefecture and is grown at an altitude varying between 200 and 1000 ft. It is a Sencha grade, unfermented and prepared in the traditional way.
